I started practicing with the flux core wire welding gun. Not quite the quality of welds I need. I will have to keep practicing. I am not blaming this welder, though the Lincoln I used in the past was better. I am trying to make harder welds.

I decided that adjustable stands were too risky. So, I went with fixed height stands. The second design is simpler and I will be able to build a prototype with existing metal.
It will be primarily build from 1″ square tubing. The leg supports will be welded onto the main tube. Adjustable feet will be tapped into the end of the leg supports. At the top will be a 1/4″ piece of steel that will support the cross members.
Additional diagonal supports may be added to provide additional strength for the leg supports. This may be needed as they will be supporting a sizable weight, between the stage squares and the actual sets.
